It supports 2 independent RS-422 or RS-485 ports which can each control up to 32 devices in a multidrop environment.
To ease 2-wire RS-485 half-duplex control, Automatic Data Direction Control (ADDC) intelligence is built into each CP-132 board, eliminating the need for software interference. This means that applications can easily manage data transmitting and receiving of the half-duplex RS-485 port without requiring extra code.
To meet the demand for high reliability in an industrial environment, an optical isolation option (2 KV) and surge protection option (ESD 25 KV) are also available. In addition, other outstanding features such as on-chip hardware flow control and built-in termination resistors guarantee data integrity.
