It supports 2 independent RS-422 or RS-485 ports that can control up to 64 devices in a multidrop environment.
To ease 2-wire RS-485 half-duplex control, Automatic Data Direction Control intelligence is built into each CI-132 board, eliminating the need for software interference. This means that Windows applications can manage the RS-485 port without extra code to control the half-duplex protocol.
To meet the demand for high reliability in an industrial environment, an optical isolation option (2000V) and surge block option (2000V) are also available in this series.
